Thank You for your interest in St. Stephen Martyr!
St. Stephen Martyr School is a Catholic Elementary School serving all faiths, races and genders of students in grades PreK-8. We partner with parents to meet our diverse student body needs both academically and spiritually. We strive to develop all students into faithful, caring individuals who will succeed in all they do.
SSM is shaping spirits and minds through:
Faith Formation: teaching the values of the Catholic Faith and meets the spiritual needs of all students. We do this through worship, service, religious studies and the daily living of Catholic values. Students participate in programs including PeaceBuilders, Sacramental preparation, Big/Little Buddy, retreats, liturgy and liturgical ministry roles.
Academic Excellence: educating and empowering each student to excel academically. Our teachers and staff are committed to working with students of all abilities, ranging from the gifted to those with special needs. We do this by using a number of models and strategies for differentiated learning.
Stewardship and Service: encouraging our students to become good stewards and serve the needs of others. Our students are involved in a variety of service activities and projects within the school, in the parish and our local community. These service activities and projects help them develop into community leaders.
Personal Integrity: nurturing, encouraging and educating students to become moral, independent citizens striving to meet the ideals present in our Catholic values. We develop and empower students to become true PeaceBuilders and leaders.
A wide array of activities and leadership opportunities are offered to help students identify and become people of personal integrity.
Partnership with Parents and Community: working alongside parents, our partners, to help nurture each child under the guidance of Christ's teachings and shape each child's spirit and mind. Parents are recognized as a child's primary educator and also play a vital role within our school community.
